ABSCESS

• An abscess is a sac of pus formed from destroyed tissue cells. 
• The destroyed tissue cells are the result of a localized infection, and are made up of leucocytes and micro organisms, such as bacteria.
• A pyogenic membrane, or lining, contains the pus.
